Eric is the Principal and Founder of Urbatect. He is a licensed general contractor with over two decades of experience in design, construction, and real estate development. Known for his hands-on leadership and deep industry expertise, Eric has built Urbatect into a trusted, full-service design-build firm that delivers innovative, high-quality solutions for homeowners and developers alike. His vision is rooted in making the design and construction process seamless and accessible—whether it’s a custom home, ADU, or multifamily development. Under his guidance, Urbatect is redefining the way families build and live, with a strong commitment to craftsmanship, client service, and community impact.

Jesse supports Urbatect projects as an independent consulting Structural Engineer and is a California-licensed Professional Engineer focused on residential structures – custom homes, remodels, additions, and ADUs. With 13+ years of experience, he guides projects from early concept through construction, translating design intent into clean, efficient, buildable structural solutions. Based in San Diego, Jesse is known for practical detailing, strong coordination with design/contractor teams, and code-aligned, permit-ready documents. His work includes new foundations and framing, additions/retrofits, custom homes, and ADU conversions, with a steady emphasis on feasibility and lifecycle performance. He holds both a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington.

Saumya leads revenue and growth at Urbatect, driving business expansion through a strategic blend of sales leadership, operational discipline, marketing oversight, and cross-functional execution. With a background as a transactional lawyer and extensive experience in California’s architecture, engineering, and construction industry, she brings a sharp, customer-centric approach to business leadership. Throughout her career, Saumya has built, scaled, and managed high-performing teams, streamlined operations, and developed strategic initiatives to scale revenue. She has implemented customer-centric processes, data-driven systems, and collaborative frameworks that drive sustainable growth across sales, delivery, and client success. Outside of work, Saumya enjoys playing the piano, painting and exploring new places.

Mayank brings over 15 years of experience across project management, structural engineering, business development, and B2B & B2C stakeholder engagement. For the past 7+ years, he has been a key force in California’s AEC startup ecosystem, successfully managing and delivering over 450 residential and commercial projects—from initial concept through permit approval. With a strong track record of building and leading high-performing project teams, Mayank excels at optimizing productivity, scaling delivery operations, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. His expertise spans across small to mid-scale developments, where he combines technical knowledge with strategic execution to meet client goals and regulatory requirements. Outside of work, Mayank is an avid soccer and racquet sports enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Suja is a Designer with 19+ years of experience in design and interiors across California. She is an expert in residential drafting and permit-ready documentation, known for clean, buildable details and efficient AutoCAD/SketchUp workflows. She has designed and secured permits for numerous ADUs statewide. Her work spans concept development, site and space planning, interiors, and coordination with MEP and landscape teams. At Urbatect, she supports schematic design through permit submission, aligning drawing sets with local requirements and submittal standards while maintaining presentation quality. Her focus on clarity, responsiveness, and constructability helps move projects smoothly from early concept to jurisdiction review. Outside of work, Suja enjoys painting, cooking, and dancing.

Jay is a structural designer with 10+ years of experience delivering innovative structural solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. He specializes in all phases of structural design, from concept development to final execution, ensuring projects are safe, sustainable, and delivered on time and within budget. Jay’s expertise spans multidisciplinary collaboration, advanced analysis tools, and international design standards. His focus on precision, constructability, and client alignment helps projects move smoothly from early design to completion. Outside of work, Jay is passionate about advancing structural design practices & mentoring the next generation of designers. He holds a BSCE in Structural Engineering from Cagayan State University and a Bachelor’s in Drafting & Design Technology from Batanes State College.

Leticia is an interior designer who brings the unique soul of each project to life. She designs with intention, believing great design can transform both spaces and the way people live in them. A graduate of San José State University (BFA, Interior Design), she pairs strong academic training with hands-on experience in space planning, drafting, and project execution; drawing on her background as both Designer and Project Manager. Her work focuses on residential interior design, including accessory dwelling units (ADUs), where she creates thoughtful, timeless interiors that balance aesthetics and function. Her favorite phase of the process is concept development: building mood boards, curating cohesive material palettes, and selecting finishes that turn everyday rooms into welcoming sanctuaries. Outside of work, she finds inspiration in art exhibits, making art, hiking coastal trails, and trying new recipes – keeping creativity woven into daily life.

With over 11 years of experience in architecture and design, Akanksha brings a deep command of spatial planning, technical precision, and design sensibility to every project. As a Senior Design Project Manager at Urbatect, she leads with a strategic mindset—ensuring that each space is not only visually compelling but also highly functional and code-compliant. She has developed strong expertise in navigating California’s design and permitting landscape, successfully guiding projects through complex zoning and regulatory requirements with efficiency and clarity. Akanksha is passionate about crafting spaces that seamlessly balance form and function, with a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to design excellence. Tushar is a project manager, designer and author, with over a decade of experience delivering complex projects across residential, industrial, mixed-use, transportation, and institutional sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture and an M.S. in Integrated Sustainable Design, combining technical depth with a forward-looking approach to sustainability in the industry. Having worked in various countries throughout his career, Tushar brings a global lens to his work, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver projects on time and within budget. He is also the author of Beyond Sustainability: Moving Towards Regenerative Architecture, where he champions regenerative design as a pathway to creating more impactful and purpose-driven environments. Outside of work, Tushar enjoys sketching, photography, and traveling, pursuits that fuel his creativity and broaden his perspective. He is also an avid reader and a tennis enthusiast.

David is a powerhouse in the world of Construction Management, with several years of expertise at Urbatect. Overseeing all construction projects in the Northern Bay Area, he is relentless in his pursuit of excellence, with a thick skin that enables him to tackle challenges head-on. With a 15 year background in Business Management, he has a strategic mindset that extends beyond the job site. From crafting high-level strategies to overseeing on-site operations, budgets, and client expectations, David thrives in high-pressure environments, delivering results that exceed expectations. Beyond construction, he is a skilled musician and singer, bringing passion and precision to every performance. A dedicated traveler and family-oriented professional, David’s ultimate goal is to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction, turning visions into reality with unwavering dedication and expertise.

Christopher plays a critical role in managing the permitting process, ensuring clear and transparent communication between clients and local jurisdictions to help move each project forward smoothly and successfully. With a bachelor’s degree in architecture and over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, he excels at tracking construction documents for faster permit approvals, supporting project management during the construction phase, and assisting with initial feasibility and site assessments to guide clients early in their journey. Beyond construction and design, Christopher is also passionate about the arts. He holds an HIS license and is a certified ADU Specialist through the ADU Academy, enabling him to guide homeowners through the complexities of ADU regulations, state requirements, and local jurisdiction guidelines.
