Job Title: Sales Account Manager

Location: Remote (CA) with occasional site visits

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to execute end-to-end sales for clients in the design and construction space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales as well as the design and construction industry, a passion for design and construction, and the ability to consult with clients and provide solutions for their projects as part of the consultative selling process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and project updates.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Actively network to nurture and develop partnerships in the industry to generate leads for repeat business.

2. Consultative Selling

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the design, permitting and construction sectors.
  • Develop sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

3. Project Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams, including design and project management, to align sales efforts with project execution.
  • Communicate client requirements to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide clients with regular updates.

4. Contract Negotiation & Proposal Development

  • Prepare bids, proposals, and contracts in collaboration with the estimating and legal teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and project scope to secure favorable agreements for both the company and the client.

5. Onsite Visits & Travel

  • Conduct regular onsite visits to client properties and project locations to assess the site conditions, address client concerns, and strengthen relationships.
  • Be available for occasional travel to attend client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

6. Revenue & Account Growth

  • Maintain and grow assigned accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services or project expansions.
  • Develop and implement account management strategies to maximize long-term revenue.

7. Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions using CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and key account updates.
  • Meet KPIs set by the company to track performance and ensure consistent growth and success.

Mandatory Requirements:

Job Title: Licensed Architect – Residential & ADU Projects – San Diego based

Location: San Diego, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Type: Hybrid / Office (Accommodation will be provided for the right candidate)

Salary: $90K – $130K Annually (based on experience) plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Project Execution

  • Lead the design and development of ADUs, single-family homes, multi-family development and other residential projects.
  • Prepare and oversee architectural plans, construction documents, and permit submissions in compliance with California building code and local zoning regulations.
  • Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and client consultations during sales.
  • Develop and or enhance design process to increase customer’s experience quality.
  • Provide QA/QC for design and CD’s.
  • Work closely with clients on schematic designs & interior design.

2. Team & Project Management

  • Collaborate with the project management team and manage and mentor junior designers, drafters, and consultants throughout the design and construction process.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, city officials, and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Provide support to our Permitting Technicians for jurisdiction coordination.

3. Leadership & Business Operations

  • Play an active role in business development, client relations, assist during sales, and operational strategy.
  • Support company growth through process improvement, cost management, and resource planning.
  • Represent Urbatect Development in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  • Design and institutionalize standard operating procedures, processes and Quality Assurance checkpoints to elevate deliverable quality, reduce rework, and streamline cross-team operations.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect in California (required).
  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in residential architecture, with proven expertise in ADUs, additions, remodels, and custom residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of California Building Code, Title 24, and local permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, with experience leading teams and consultants.
  • Business acumen with the ability to contribute to operations, sales, budgeting, and client development.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform Title24 calculations and reports and CalGreen services (Highly desired)
  • Ability and willingness to get licensed in other states i.e. WA,

Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Preferably in San Diego, CA)

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee project execution, construction, manage the design, permitting and construction phase, conduct regular site visits, and support sales operations.

Big Picture: This is a role for a motivated industry leader who can plan, organize, and execute our ADU’s, additions, new developments, and remodels for residential & multifamily projects throughout Santa Cruz county, the Bay Area, Monterey County & San Benito County. This individual will be in-charge of the day-to-day activities happening in various site simultaneously along with Project Foreman. This role can lead to a future promotion into a Director of Project Management role, executive role or similar roles within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Provides leadership and support to our field team, design team, vendors, subcontractors & other stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of contract documents required to properly plan construction sequencing, staffing, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and a positive customer experience.
  • Support sales operations by providing technical insights, site visits, feasibility assessments, and project cost evaluations.
  • Coordinate and oversee permit applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Review RFI’s, submittals, invoices and other important documentation in a timely manner.
  • Review all subcontractor and vendor shop drawings, product data, samples, manuals, etc., for compliance with contract documents and coordination with all other items of work.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality control.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, proactively addressing any risks or delays.
  • Assist in developing project proposals, scope of work, and construction schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and building codes at all stages of construction.
  • Travel within the Southern California region as required to manage and oversee project sites.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager in residential or commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of permitting and construction processes and local building codes in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Experience working with sales teams to provide project insights and feasibility analyses.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a strong desire to continue to learn and grow within the company. There is and will continue to be a lot of opportunities for the right individuals.
  • Extremely organized. Organization is huge for this role!
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Clickup) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
